Fleas and Lice

January 30, 2012

Such a lovely topic for a Monday don’t you think?  ;)

We’ve been informed by a few local vets that fleas and lice are able to survive in this warm winter weather.  If you notice your dog scratching a lot, please get them checked out by your vet.  Here is some links where you can find out more – on fleas and on lice.  If you suspect your dog has fleas or lice please get them treated ASAP and don’t bring them back to play until your vet gives you the OK. The last thing your dog will want to do is pass it on to all their buddies.

Yesterday had beautiful weather (at least until the late afternoon) so I have no excuse for staying inside, but I did.  So I brought cookies again and solicited even more pleading looks.Cookies 2 Cookies Part II Lethbridge Dog Daycare

The alternating freezing cold with high winds has not inspired us to spend much time outside photographing the dogs… and hence creating blog posts.  So yesterday I grabbed the camera and a handful of cookies.  The dogs were oh so serious at trying to figure out what it was that they needed to do to get a cookie.

I thought it would be fun to show you what the first couple minutes of my afternoon shift look like.  This is what happens when I first walk into the big (aka crazy) dog area.

Click here to see the video.  (Sorry I can’t figure out how to embed the video directly into the post.)  OR you can watch it straight from our Facebook Page.

Tomorrow, I’ll bring you the “small” dog area.
