We sure haven’t had much snow this year so we made sure to take advantage of it yesterday before it melted.  Here are just a few pictures of the dogs having a good time.

Monday Morning Arrivals

Max and Ali are siblings and it shows…  At least they remind me of most siblings I knew growing up!

It has been a long time since I did a “Photography” post (I know, I know, it has been a long time since I did any kind of post!) so I thought I’d show you some pictures that I took while playing around with Mel and Rosie today.  I’m a little obsessed with silhouettes at the moment!  My usual “short grassed hill” was not available and I can’t decide if I love or hate all the tall grass.  I think I’d rather a have a clean background, or maybe just a little less tall grasses.

Wow.  So much for my new years resolution to blog more!  We are much better at posting blurry iPhone photos on our Facebook page, than we are at blogging.

I took some pictures of one of the latest rescue dogs with the Windy City Rescue on my lunch break today and came back to work with a Cuz toy in my pocket.  Alyera stuck her nose in my pocket discovered the toy and instantly sat at my feet with the cutest little expression on her face.  It was so cute, I ran for the camera.  :)  So instead of the “Cookie look”, I bring you the “Cuz look”.

And she wasn’t the only one to give me the look…

Unfortunately for all of them, all their pleading got them nowhere.  The Cuz toy is a little too high value and I didn’t think they would all share nice.  After I used and abused them for their cute looks, the Cuz went into my purse.

Such a lovely topic for a Monday don’t you think?  ;)

We’ve been informed by a few local vets that fleas and lice are able to survive in this warm winter weather.  If you notice your dog scratching a lot, please get them checked out by your vet.  Here is some links where you can find out more – on fleas and on lice.  If you suspect your dog has fleas or lice please get them treated ASAP and don’t bring them back to play until your vet gives you the OK. The last thing your dog will want to do is pass it on to all their buddies.

Yesterday had beautiful weather (at least until the late afternoon) so I have no excuse for staying inside, but I did.  So I brought cookies again and solicited even more pleading looks.

The alternating freezing cold with high winds has not inspired us to spend much time outside photographing the dogs… and hence creating blog posts.  So yesterday I grabbed the camera and a handful of cookies.  The dogs were oh so serious at trying to figure out what it was that they needed to do to get a cookie.

I thought it would be fun to show you what the first couple minutes of my afternoon shift look like.  This is what happens when I first walk into the big (aka crazy) dog area.
